Chantilly, Va. — Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) acquired GEM Engineering, Inc. (GEM), whose office will now become the Louisville, Ky., location of ECS Southeast, LLP and a member of the ECS Group of Companies.
“Louisville is the right place, with the right people, at the right time. Adding GEM to the ECS team not only expands our footprint, but increases our technical capability, level of client service and quality. GEM and ECS are an ideal match and will create unprecedented opportunities for our employees and our clients,” said Steve Gosselin, PG, President, ECS Southeast, LLP.
GEM specializes in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and environmental engineering. The acquisition became effective on April 2, 2018. GEM will continue to provide integrated engineering services and technical support for their clients.
“The expanded resources of ECS will improve our ability to serve our clients, offer greater opportunity for our employees and geographic and technical growth for ECS. This creates a stronger team for combined future success,” said Jerry Vandevelde, PE, President of GEM.
