March 23, 2020 – The International Erosion Control Association (IECA) has honored East Coast Erosion Control with the 2019 Sustained Partner Award. East Coast Erosion’s President, Diane Smith, accepted the award during the IECA Annual Conference luncheon in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Sustained Partner award recognizes East Coast Erosion’s contributions toward the progress of the field. This includes contributions to IECA, and contributions of industry organizations outside of the IECA, as well as, training and educational involvement that has moved the erosion control and stormwater industries forward as a whole.

“When the industry grows, we all benefit. As adoption and understanding of erosion control takes hold across the country, the benefits extend downstream. We love being part of the positive direction” Diane Smith, President.

East Coast Erosion Control team members are active industry participants from coast-to-coast, sitting on boards and committees with IECA, Erosion Control Technology Council (ECTC), NTPEP, ASTM, and the Geosynthetics Materials Association (GMA). Additionally, team members have been welcomed speakers at such influential organizations as Auburn University, the University of Georgia, and the National Association of Abandoned Mine Land Program (NAAMLP), among other training efforts in 2019.

“We’re on a roll and we couldn’t ask for a better team” Tony Forino, Founder. “We’ve been honored a lot lately and it comes from the dedication of Diane and her team.”

East Coast Erosion Control has recently been recognized with the Transformation and Operational Excellence Award from the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership, and Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeast Pennsylvania’s iXchange Innovation Award.
