DSC Experts were busy in September Attending Conferences, Teaching and Receiving Awards: This is What Professionals Do.

RESERVE, LA – Often, September is associated with new beginnings, playing host to the start of the school year, the reappearance of football season, the emergence of the harvest, Labor Day and more. For DSC, September marked the opportunity to share their experiences, enthusiasm and knowledge with others in their community and industry attending and speaking at conferences, receiving awards and inspiring tomorrow’s leaders (the youth).

We take a look back on where our leaders appeared to not only celebrate their dedication but give insight on where industry enthusiast can gain information and lend support in 2023.

Oil Sands Conference, Ft McMurray – Alberta

Great leaders embrace knowledge. At the very beginning of the month, DSC’s Damon Gonzales, VP of Product Development, attended the 2022 Oil Sands Conference held in Ft. McMurray Alberta.  DSC, known for its commitment to innovation embraced the pool of information shared as it strives to develop business in the Oil Sands market and learn more about the amazing work and technology that is being developed and used in the region.

According to Gonzales, “these relationship are invaluable to DSC and we are equally committed to helping our clients overcome challenges especially with our latest technology developments. We are looking forward to participating in the show next year”. IEEE- PCIC, Denver, CO

PCIC (Pretroleum and Chemical Industry Committee) has a long and storied history in the U.S., and the brand has been used to host a number of international conferences.  It’s success is built upon high quality papers, personal recognition and reward, valued standards activities, mentoring, tutorial and networking.

The annual IEEE-PCIC conference is an exchange of technical ideas – not a trade show – that brings together professionals with a common focus on electrical installations and safety. DSC Engineers Damon Gonzales and Eliott Castanza were honored to join hands with APEGA licensed Alberta Engineers, write and present a paper on Advanced Electric Mining Dredge Designs.  This is one example of DSC’s commitment to developing technology, growing relationships, and educating our employees.
