Dewberry awarded design contract for Marine Parkway Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge

Fairfax, Va. — Dewberry was selected to provide repair and improvement design services for the Marine Parkway Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge. Spanning the Rockaway Inlet, the bridge connects Brooklyn, N.Y., to Queens, and undergoes biennial inspections. Dewberry will locate and provide repair/replacement design services for compromised steel bridge sections described in the reports, and identify repairs that were excluded.

The project also includes manual dry fire standpipe system installation, design maintenance, traffic/construction staging protection, cost-estimate preparations, and the performance of constructability reviews.
