David Cerione joins HNTB’s aviation team as national practice consultant

Recognized industry leader brings experience in partnering with airports to deliver large-scale programs

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – David Cerione has joined HNTB as a national practice consultant and vice president for the firm’s aviation practice. In this role, he will support aviation clients nationwide in the oversight and delivery of capital improvement programs.

Cerione joins HNTB from another consulting firm where he served as national deputy director of aviation. He is based in Orlando, Florida.

With over two decades of industry experience, Cerione brings a broad range of expertise in areas of program delivery, budgeting, operations management and risk analysis and planning. He has overseen major contracts at some of the world’s most recognizable airports, including Miami International Airport, Abu Dhabi International Airport, New Orleans International Airport and Denver International Airport.

Cerione’s experience includes successfully leading the North Terminal Development Program at Miami International Airport and serving as program director for the Capacity Enhancement Program at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Cerione holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Florida.

HNTB’s aviation team continues to provide industry-leading services to impactful projects at the largest airports across the United States, including program management/construction management services at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, program manager for the redevelopment program at John F. Kennedy International Airport, architect of record for South Terminal C, Phase 1, at Orlando International Airport, principal architect/engineer on Phase 1 of the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Expansion and Development Program, and lead architectural designer for the automated people mover stations and maintenance facility at Los Angeles International Airport.
