Civil Engineering Firm JQOL Acquires Kentucky-Based HRG

After two years in business, Indianapolis-based JQOL adds surveying to services and expands reach into Kentucky

Indianapolis – Marking its two-year anniversary this month, Indianapolis-based civil engineering firm JQOL Quality of Life is joining with Owensboro-based HRG Surveying & Engineering. HRG will now be known as HRG, a JQOL Company.

The acquisition expands service offerings for clients, making the firm a one-stop-shop for civil and site needs.

“As we embark on our third year in business, we’re thrilled to be able to scale up our offerings and provide a complete package of site and civil engineering services,” Jarvis Jointer, PE, JQOL’s founder and president, said. “By incorporating HRG’s expertise and enhancing our in-house capabilities, we can offer maximum support for our clients and streamline the design and construction process for projects of all types and sizes.”

Both boutique firms, JQOL and HRG’s culture and values make the relationship a fit. The acquisition will allow JQOL to enhance service to clients in southern Indiana and expand its footprint into Kentucky.

The full suite of services offered include site engineering, transportation engineering, structural engineering, construction administration, surveying, and sustainability services.

Established in 2019, JQOL is a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE/DBE). After 15 years leading engineering teams in regional and national markets, Jarvis Jointer founded his own firm on the idea that civil engineering impacts every part of our daily lives. Through superior service and design, engineers can improve the quality of life in their communities.

Established in 1969, HRG is engrained in the Kentucky landscape. Its seasoned team serves as an advocate for clients, providing measurable results and meaningful progress to ensure each project’s success.
