CH2M HILL named Outstanding Employer of the Year by TSPE

Denver — CH2M HILL was recognized by the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) as its Outstanding Employer of the Year for 2014. This award is given to companies that make outstanding contributions in advancing and improving the engineering profession through its employment policies and practices.

The award was announced at TSPE’s annual meeting on September 26. At the same meeting, Robert Cook, P.E., also of CH2M HILL, was named Outstanding Engineer of the Year by TSPE, recognizing his achievements and contributions to the engineering profession.

The award recognizes the volunteer efforts of CH2M HILL’s more than 170 Tennessee staff members working with organizations such as local STEM-based schools, Knox ProCorps, and local schools with the annual World Water Challenge, as well as the firm’s policies to promote professional licensing and training for its engineering staff, and recruiting and promotion policies for women and minorities.

Says Robert Cook, P.E., area manager, “CH2M HILL has long been known as a firm deeply committed to the communities in which we serve, and to fostering success for our employees and the engineering profession. We believe in investing in professional expertise and in supporting our employees as community citizens and their volunteer service. Receiving this recognition as a firm, and for me personally as Outstanding Engineer, confirms the leadership our firm and our employees provide in the engineering profession.”
