CH2M HILL increases focus on North American bridge and tunnel markets

DENVER — CH2M HILL, a global full-service consulting, design, construction, and operations firm, is increasing its focus and investment in the North America and Global Bridge & Tunnel market. Andrew Yeoward, CH2M HILL’s Major Crossings market director, is relocating from the UK to the U.S. to advance and expand the synergies between Halcrow’s global signature bridge and tunneling practice and CH2M HILL’s established structures and bridge practice in North America.

Yeoward brings more than 33 years of international experience in the design and construction of major bridge and highway schemes, with primary expertise in the planning and design of long-span, cable-stayed bridges and long-sea crossings. He was previously Global Director of Bridge Engineering for Halcrow (acquired by CH2M HILL in 2011), responsible for leading a team of more than 300 professionals around the world helping public and private clients take their major crossings projects from concept to reality.

“We’re excited to have Andrew based in the United States directing the growth of our global practice,” said CH2M HILL’s Transportation President, Terry Ruhl. “We already have highly talented and experienced bridge and tunnel engineering teams in place throughout the U.S. and Canada, complementing the world-renowned team of international engineers who joined us through Halcrow. With Andrew’s global leadership and technical expertise, CH2M HILL will be looking to leverage our combined capabilities, partnering with clients and contractors to plan, design and deliver their most challenging infrastructure projects throughout the world.”
