Carey Sullivan joins Freese and Nichols as oil and gas practice leader

HOUSTON, Texas – Carey Sullivan has joined Freese and Nichols, Inc., as Oil and Gas Practice Leader, bringing 25 years of experience specializing in business development for engineering and construction management firms.

From a base in the Houston office, Sullivan will lead the firm’s growth in the oil and gas market across Texas and the Southwest, with a particular focus on the Eagle Ford Shale and Permian Basin.

Freese and Nichols provide a full range of services to support oil and gas developers and midstream companies, including water management projects, process, and facility design, pipeline and pump station engineering, electrical and structural design, environmental permitting and program/project management.

Sullivan has extensive knowledge of the oil and gas industry, having started in the mid-1990s as a piping designer and project coordinator. She later was the design coordinator for a full-production facility, 4-pile platform in the Gulf of Mexico. Throughout her career, she has developed business for companies selling flexible pipe, production equipment, and compression packaging. She has experience with onshore, offshore and international projects.

“Carey will be able to expand our ability to build trusted relationships and help clients meet their needs,” said Alan Greer, Freese and Nichols’ Chief Business Development Officer for Infrastructure. “Her core strength is business development for project management, and her experience encompasses the engineering and design of projects from concept through construction management, including technical writing and inspection.”

Sullivan received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Communications from Texas State University.
