C2AE opens Kalamazoo office

LANSING, MICH. — C2AE, a full-service architectural, engineering and planning design firm, announced the opening of a new office in Kalamazoo, Mich., which is the fifth location for the growing firm, headquartered in Lansing, with additional offices in Grand Rapids, Gaylord, and Escanaba.

The new office, located at 211 E. Water St., is a historical office building located in the heart of downtown, which will be home to five C2AE employees initially by the end of July 2012. There are plans to add additional staff and interns to the Kalamazoo location as the company continues to grow its West Michigan presence.

“C2AE is committed to its West Michigan clients, partners and employees,” said Bill Kimble, chairman and CEO of C2AE, and alumni of Kalamazoo College. “We are proud and excited to further demonstrate that commitment with our expansion into the greater Kalamazoo region.”

C2AE, founded in 1966, has grown to more than 110 employees and continues to expand in size and geographic reach. The firm has active projects in eight states and three countries outside the U.S. In 2011, C2AE, which is dedicated to innovation and environmental stewardship, averaged between 350 and 400 projects, valued at approximately $180 million in construction value.

The new Kalamazoo location will better position C2AE to increase client relationships in Southwest Michigan, and serve many of its existing market sectors, such as health care, transportation, industrial, municipal government, and education.
