BuildingIQ welcomes industry veterans to advisory board

SYDNEY — BuildingIQ has announced the addition of two pioneers from the green building and building controls sectors to its advisory board.

Bringing more than 60 years’ experience combined, Jerry Yudelson and Greg Irving have joined BuildingIQ’s advisory board to provide guidance on industry partnerships and the company’s technology roadmap.

As one of the United States’ leading experts on green buildings, Jerry Yudelson has more than 25 years of experience in renewable energy, green building design, environmental remediation and water conservation. He is a professional engineer and serves as a National Peer Professional for the U.S. General Services Administration since 2006.

Yudelson served on the national board of the USGBC, co-founded the council’s first regional chapter in the Pacific Northwest, and for six years he chaired the world’s largest green building conference, Greenbuild. He now leads the consulting team at Yudelson Associates, where he provides global clients with expert guidance on creating, developing, designing and certifying green development projects and corporate sustainability programs.

“Building operators need smart tools that cut energy waste and costs without impacting occupant comfort. BuildingIQ’s energy management software addresses this need by working with existing building management systems, thereby eliminating the capital costs and resource requirements of most energy efficiency initiatives,” said Yudelson. “Given BuildingIQ’s unique technology and the strong market need for this type of solution, I am excited to be working with them.”

Greg Irving has more than 30 years of global experience in automation and control systems, software development and energy management. He has created systems that manage the environment and security of thousands of major buildings and industrial plants worldwide.

Irving’s professional experience includes roles as the global vice president of integrated systems for Honeywell Automation & Control Systems, global vice president of technology and marketing for Honeywell’s Industrial Systems, and CEO of Honeywell Australia.

“We couldn’t have asked for two more qualified individuals to join our advisory board,” said Mike Zimmerman, CEO of BuildingIQ. “By leveraging Jerry’s experience in green projects and programs as well as Greg’s expertise in software development, we mark a strategic step forward for BuildingIQ and the advancement of energy management software. True pioneers in the industry, Jerry and Greg’s experience will be indispensible as BuildingIQ continues to grow.”
