BONE Structure winner of the prestigious 2013 Dunamis award – Company of the Year in the Innovation category

LAVAL, QC – BONE Structure is the winner of the prestigious Dunamis Award in the Innovation category, awarded by the Chamber of commerce and industry of Laval. More than 500 people from the business community met at the Château Royal on March 27 for the 32nd Dunamis Gala.

Marc-André Bovet, president of BONE Structure, first wanted to thank his team that contributes to the success of the company: “I am very proud to have a team of passionate people, who works hard every day towards our humble goal of changing the housing world and changing housing around the world!”

Mr. Bovet reminded to the business people present that it is profitable to invest massively in research and development and that Quebecers are ingenious by nature. "Companies must take their responsibility to hatch this natural talent through integrated design in our products and our services. Innovation means passionate people that mix ideas with the obsession to create more beautiful products, more practical, more durable, in one word, smarter," he said.

“And this is not done alone, we need partners who share our entrepreneurial point of view,” added Mr. Bovet. He also thanked his various business and financial partners, the BDC, Investissement Québec and the Royal Bank.

The President of the Chamber, M. Christian Provencher, emphasizes, in his opening speech at the Gala, the finalists’ excellence of this 32nd edition: "The Dunamis Gala is the annual event that recognizes the business community excellence of Laval. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to congratulate all the winners as well as all finalists who submitted highly interesting applications. Once more this year, Dunamis has allowed recognizing the determination and discipline you have shown."

The patented technology of BONE Structure light steel construction assembles as easy as a Meccano kit with one tool. It has a building frame made of recycled steel that requires no bearing wall and allows doors and windows from floor to ceiling, sculptural stairs and a building envelope with a multitude of high quality interior and exterior finishes. The system also avoids the waste of time and materials, since there is no cutting on site and therefore no waste. Its thermal envelope exceeds the standards of energetic eco-efficiency and responds to the lack of specialized labor issues, here and elsewhere. The BONE Structure innovative concept disrupts traditional construction methods across Canada and attracts the attention of real estate developers around the world.
