ASCE seeks public comment on stormwater guidelines

Reston, Va. — ASCE will conduct a public comment period on Standard Guidelines for the Design, Installation, and Operation of Urban Stormwater Systems. The public comment period will be held from Sept. 15, 2014 through Nov. 1, 2014.

The intent of this standard is to present construction guidance for urban stormwater systems. It updates ASCE/EWRI standards 45, 46, and 47 with material developed within the past eight years. The collection and conveyance of surface stormwaters are within the purview of this standard for applications such as airports, roads and other transportation systems; and industrial, residential, and recreation areas. This document is intended for guidance during the urban stormwater system construction phase for the engineer, project manager, inspector, and contractor.
