ASA Dally expands ownership

HOUSTON — Fred Dally, P.E., is a new principal and co-owner of ASA Dally, the structural engineering consulting firm founded 17 years ago as ASA Consulting Engineers Inc. The firm has been renamed to reflect Dally’s co-ownership with firm founder Saad Ahmed, P.E.

Dally’s 17 years of experience encompass complex healthcare, commercial, educational and mixed-use facilities. He is particularly skilled in managing structural engineering on projects using alternate delivery methods, including design-build and construction manager at risk, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) to enhance team collaboration and document coordination.

“I have watched Fred flourish from my early mentoring,” said Ahmed. “He is now a highly skilled engineer and accomplished project manager who has mastered the ability to develop creative solutions to clients’ functional needs, and budget and schedule constraints. I am proud that he returns to our firm as an owner who will enhance our project delivery.”

Dally earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a licensed professional engineer in Texas and multiple other states. He was most recently an associate vice president with Haynes Whaley Associates and previously worked for Walter P. Moore and Associates as well as ASA Consulting Engineers. Dally is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Concrete Institute.
