Arup Appoints Carolyn Poirier as Americas CFO

Carolyn Poirier has been appointed as Americas Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective July 15.

Carolyn is based in Toronto and has been with Arup for 13 years, working across a number of roles on the Finance team. Most recently, she has been serving as Americas Region Controller and Financial Planning and Analytics Leader.

I have been fortunate to work under my predecessor Alan Jennat’s leadership and guidance, and I look forward to continuing the momentum he has created in bringing value to the Americas and firm. I am committed to supporting and developing our Finance team, and together, we will drive success.”

Based in Toronto, Carolyn brings 13 years of valuable experience at Arup, where she has held various leadership roles within the Finance team. Most recently, she served as the Americas Region Controller and Financial Planning and Analytics Leader.

As Chief Financial Officer, Carolyn joins Arup’s Americas Executive team and Region board, overseeing all accounting and finance activities. Leveraging her comprehensive understanding of the financial landscape, she is well-equipped to drive the Americas continued financial success. With her strong leadership skills and deep knowledge of the organization, Carolyn is poised to make significant contributions in her new role.

Carolyn graduated with honors from McMaster University, earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in accounting and a minor in Economics. Post university, she obtained her CPA designation while working at Ernst & Young LLP, solidifying her knowledge and proficiency in the field.
