Alberici Adds Yoon-Young Chung as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships

Chung to Strengthen Alberici’s Multinational Building Services In the U.S., Canada and Mexico

ST. LOUIS – Alberici is fortifying its multinational construction services with the addition of Yoon-Young Chung. With nearly three decades of experience in global consulting, finance, and international relations, Mr. Chung becomes part of the Alberici leadership team as its vice president of strategic partnerships, with a focus on facilitating Korean firms’ building needs across the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Mr. Chung joins Alberici after 28 years working at Deloitte in Toronto, where he served as a partner the last 14 years.  Based in Toronto, he will play a pivotal role in strategic planning, business development and cultivating client relationships, with a special focus on Korean clients.

Mr. Chung led Deloitte Canada’s Korean Services Group, collaborating closely with diverse, cross-functional teams, and providing strategic counsel to multinational Korean corporations seeking to expand their North American presence.

Currently, a joint venture led by Alberici is the design-builder for NextStar Energy’s groundbreaking 4.5 million square-foot battery manufacturing plant in Windsor, Ontario. This state-of-the-art facility will be Canada’s first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant, with an annual production capacity exceeding 49-gigawatt hours. NextStar Energy is a joint venture of automobile manufacturer Stellantis N.V. and lithium-ion battery manufacturer LG Energy Solutions.

“Korea’s total investment in North America in 2022 was $31 billion and it is poised to invest an additional $300 billion by 2030,” said Mr. Chung. “Working with Alberici, my goal is to help Korean companies optimize those investments in quality building projects that deliver the greatest value in technology and advanced manufacturing.”

Yoon-Young Chung holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University – Owen Graduate School of Management in the United States, an Executive MBA from Seoul National University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Sung Kyun Kwan University in Seoul, South Korea.
