AEC TECH NEWS: Softree joins Bentley’s Technology Partner Program

Vancouver B.C. — Softree Technical Systems Inc. announced their acceptance into the Bentley's Technology Partner Program. According to Softree principal, Dave Mills, P.Eng, the company plans to make Softree Optimal (https://www.softreeoptimal.com), their new vertical alignment optimization technology, directly available to Bentley civil users.

Developed in collaboration with the University of British Columbia, Softree Optimal allows users to quickly optimize, check and explore design alternatives by minimizing earthwork quantities while matching design constraints and conditions.

Unlike previous attempts at alignment optimization, this new technology does not require heavy computational resources such as cloud computing. It also guarantees optimality (it is not heuristic) and will accommodate detailed design conditions. These features allow it to be applied at any stage of the design process, including design review.
