Atlanta — Mueller Systems is collaborating with Senet to deliver advanced metering infrastructure to water utilities across North America. Mueller Systems, a subsidiary of Mueller Water Products, Inc., provides smart metering solutions to optimize the delivery and use of water. Senet is the first and fastest-growing North American provider of public, low-power, wide-area networks (LPWANS) for long-range Internet of Things (IoT) applications supporting the LoRaWAN protocol.
Both Mueller Systems and Senet are members of The LoRa Alliance, an open, non-profit association of members that believes the IoT era is now.
Mueller Systems will utilize Senet’s open standards-based, public LoRaWAN to bring its LoRa-enabled metering solutions to market and to deliver IoT solutions and coverage to its customers throughout North America. This collaboration will bring to market a highly scalable network of wireless IoT sensors for water metering and management applications designed to boost utility provider efficiencies.
“Senet is excited to be working with Mueller Systems to solve some of the most demanding connectivity requirements associated with the IoT and bring real value to water utilities throughout North America,” said John Nye, vice president of business development for Senet. “We bring the experience, reliability and flexibility to move quickly, enabling IoT application providers to aggregate sensor data at scale and improve the performance and value of expanding critical infrastructure projects.”
“By utilizing Senet’s network, we can increase the reach of our AMI solution, enabling even more water utilities to benefit from the Mi.Net System’s capabilities,” said Hassan Ali, vice president and general manager of Mueller Systems. “By leveraging the Internet of Things, municipalities can transform their water systems into open communications systems enabling them to improve the service they offer their customers and increase the connectivity of all city services.”
