Farmington Hills, Mich. — The American Concrete Institute (ACI) launched a series of seminars hosted at ACI Headquarters in Farmington Hills that will enable concrete industry professionals to receive valuable information on a variety of topics. The seminars will allow attendees to earn PDHs/CEUs, an increasing requirement to retain PE status. Highly recognized speakers will offer face-to-face interaction, and free resources and referencing tools will be distributed for use both during and after the seminar.
The first seminar, “ACI 562: Assessment, Repair, and Rehabilitation of Existing Concrete Structures,” will be held October 30, 2018. The one-day seminar will help attendees learn how to use the ACI 562 code; learn about a design-basis code; and understand the different load combinations and reduction factors in ACI 562.
Future public seminar topics include:
- Concrete Slabs-on-Ground;
- Troubleshooting Concrete Construction; and
- Troubleshooting Concrete Forming and Shoring.
