A focus on talent, added resources, and new market offerings drives CPH in acquisition of Orlando based design firm ELEVEN18 Architecture

CPH Consulting, LLC (CPH), a nationally ranked architecture and engineering design firm, signed an agreement to acquire ELEVEN18 Architecture (ELEVEN18), an award winning 40-person Orlando, Florida, based architecture and interior design firm specializing in retail, hospitality, senior living, self-storage, and entertainment/themed development projects. The partnership brings together the two firms’ architectural practices to expand CPH’s offerings and better serve its clients across new complementary markets. As a result of joining forces, both CPH’s and ELEVEN18’s clients benefit from expanded resources, a broader workforce, and synergies through cross-pollination of expertise between project types. As a result of the acquisition, CPH will offer an increased capacity with integrated interior design and planning, and expanded ability in the entertainment, hospitality, and themed development markets.

ELEVEN18 Architecture was founded in 2009 by Kim Day McCann, Mark Adams, and Neke White with a focus on providing architecture and interior design. They have built ELEVEN18’s success through their expertise and focusing the practice on the client experience, delivering a hands-on design process for their teams, and delivering well-designed projects on time and on budget. ELEVEN18 operates on the principle that great service is the cornerstone of a professional services practice.

“Along with ELEVEN18’s excellent reputation with its clients, the value they place in their employees and its culture aligns with CPH, which makes them a great fit,” said CPH President Peter-John F. Sutch, P.E., LEED AP. “Both companies share the values of quality, trust, and respect that focus on providing growth opportunities for their employees and the best project outcomes for their clients.” That philosophy will be the focus as ELEVEN18 transitions into CPH and continues to work out of their downtown Orlando, Florida, location.

It was ELEVEN18’s founders’ mutual respect and relationship with CPH that enabled the partnership. “We’ve had a working relationship with CPH for quite some time and have seen their work within the industry. They’re a company that is like-minded in how they value their employees, are growth oriented, and passionately serve their clients. We knew they would be the right partner to accelerate our growth, provide enhanced services for our clients, and provide greater opportunities for our employees,” said Kim Day McCann, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP—Founding Partner of ELEVEN18.

The acquisition also provides CPH’s existing client base access to interior design and planning as part of the firm’s integrated full-service design process. This enhanced service will be led by Neke White—Founding Partner of ELEVEN18.

“We are excited to welcome ELEVEN18 to the team, and for the opportunity to serve our clients better, not only through the added resources, but through the addition of interior design to our established practice,” said Todd Hendrix, P.E., CPH’s Chief Operating Officer of Architecture and Engineering. “Our clients will benefit from these additional services that include Space Planning, Interior Detailing, Material and Finish Selection, Fixture and Furnishing Selection, and Lighting Design.”

“Partnering with a firm that aligns with our values is important because it allows us to continue building upon each other’s strengths,” said Neke White—Founding Partner of ELEVEN18 Architecture. “This partnership will provide new and exciting services to our combined clients and I’m excited to see all the benefits and opportunities this will bring.”

The acquisition also strengthens both firms’ established presence in the hospitality, and entertainment and themed development markets. Mark Adams, AIA, NCARB—Founding Partner of ELEVEN18—will lead CPH’s Entertainment and Themed Development Projects. His expertise includes serving in various show design roles for Universal Studios. Projects that Mark has contributed to have received recognition from the Theme Entertainment Association’s Best New Attraction and Best New Theme Park, and the Associated Builders and Contractor’s Eagle Award.

“We are thrilled to partner with ELEVEN18 as they embark on the next chapter in their success story. The ELEVEN18 leadership team has built a phenomenal company of individuals who share a passion for serving their communities and clients,” said CPH President Peter-John F. Sutch, P.E., LEED AP. “We are excited to support their team with talent, technology, and growth opportunities for their staff.”
