Katherine Cruz, P.E., LEED AP Promoted to Engineering Manager at Hancock Associates

Danvers, MA — Hancock Associates, a leading provider of land surveying, civil engineering and wetland science services, is pleased to announce that Katherine Cruz, P.E., LEED AP has been promoted to Engineering Manager.

In this role, Katie will be responsible for project oversight, QA/QC, design procedures, project allocation as well as oversee personnel, business performance and business development. She will also continue to mentor younger staff and join Hancock’s marketing team.

Katie has years of extensive experience in all phases of land development engineering and permit acquisitions for a wide variety of projects from initial planning through construction. She is responsible for overseeing site, drainage and utility design, preparation of permitting and construction documents, obtaining approvals, project management and construction administration including coordination with regulatory officials, in-house surveying and environmental departments and other consultants. Katie has worked on large and small projects including commercial, residential, educational, recreational, industrial, community institutional, mixed-use and healthcare developments in urban, suburban and rural areas.

Katie became an Associate at Hancock Associates in 2021 and was recently elected to the firm’s Board of Directors. She has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Syracuse University and is a Professional Civil Engineer in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, LEED AP certified, a licensed Soil Evaluator, and a Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Katie lives in Amesbury, Massachusetts.
