RODGERS LEASK APPOINTS NEW ASSOCIATE AT DERBY HQ

A NEW associate has been appointed by national engineering consultancy Rodgers Leask, expanding the civil engineering expertise in its Derby-based headquarters.

Matt Leask rejoins Rodgers Leask to support with the development of projects across the East Midlands and the delivery of the Derby office’s ambitious growth plans. Matt first joined the consultancy more than ten years ago as a project engineer and rose through the ranks to become a principal engineer before gaining experience elsewhere and returning to Rodgers Leask.

Matt said: “Rodgers Leask is a consultancy that has an enviable foundation and presence in the civil engineering industry. Rejoining this experienced and ambitious team comes easily and I’m more than ready to utilise my expertise at such a busy time, both in the industry and across our offices throughout the country, to expand our client base even further.

“Helping to raise the profile of our residential offering is a particular priority of mine, as we all know the importance of delivering houses for the economy and for our communities. I look forward to building on the incredible work the team has already done in this area.

“Rodgers Leask has many senior experts, but also a motivated team of junior staff. Mentoring the junior team members, honing their skills and supporting their personal development is something that I’m happy to take part in. Within the Derby team, there is an abundance of ambition to grow our client base, our team and our industry presence. I’m excited to not only tap into that ambition but add to it.”

The new associate is a chartered civil engineer with more than 20 years’ experience working in both the private and public sectors in regional infrastructure, civil engineering design, and the highways industry.

Kriston Harvey, director at Rodgers Leask, said: “Matt’s expertise in the industry is nothing short of impressive. To have him on our team as an associate will not only mean adding a wealth of civil engineering knowledge to our ranks, but also a driven professional who will help us achieve our growth plans for Derby and the discipline.

“Matt is rejoining Rodgers Leask at a time where all our offices are making fantastic progress and we are determined to keep expanding the expertise with heavyweights to help fortify our offering. The engineering consultancy sector in the East Midlands is thriving, so the way to stand out is to have excellent talent and a specialist offering. We can’t wait to see how Matt makes his mark in Derby.”
