Granger Reis sponsors finalists in Elon Musk’s Tunneling Competition

Bristol – Executive search firm, Granger Reis, sponsors Warwick Boring, a team of thirty students from Warwick University who are finalists in an international tunneling competition set up by Elon Musk’s The Boring Company.

Selected from nearly 400 applicants, Warwick Boring is one of 12 teams chosen to help solve challenges around sustainability in the tunneling industry. Team members include Warwick STEM students and alumni, from a range of fields including automotive, mechanical, electrical, system engineering, physics, and mathematics, who are supported by several industry experts and university academics.

Having started the competition in September last year, the group will be competing against other top universities and industry tunneling professionals at the final event taking place in Nevada, US this summer.

As executive search consultants for some of the largest companies within the infrastructure sector throughout the UK, Europe and US, Granger Reis has a strong track record in the transportation sector, working with clients across rail, air, highways, ports, and logistics. The company’s sponsorship includes financial support, as well as a commitment to introduce Warwick Boring to its extensive network of organizations with an engineering and tunneling focus to enable further support, through direct introductions and roundtable events.

Ben Hewlett, Infrastructure Partner at Granger Reis says: “We are extremely excited to be supporting such a talented group of individuals and we’re looking forward to seeing the final results. By working with talent such as this, we hope to go some way in aiding and fostering a culture of innovation that will stay with them as they enter their career paths and become the leaders of tomorrow that the industry needs.”

Sanzhar Taizhan, Warwick Boring comments: “We’re still in shock about reaching the finals but we’re working around the clock to design and engineer the project. We have an extremely talented team who have got us to the finals but it’s thanks to companies such as Granger Reis who understand what we’re trying to achieve and are more than happy to support us that is keeping this project running. The company’s commitment to sustainability goes hand in hand with our ambitions and we are extremely excited to have them on board and to have their support as a Gold Sponsor.”
