Dr. Miriam Smith Hired as Menard Group USA’s Director of Strategic Development

PITTSBURGH, PA – Menard Group USA, a design-build ground improvement contractor, is pleased to announce that Dr. Miriam Smith, Ph.D., P.E., has joined the group as Director of Strategic Development.

Dr. Smith brings more than 24 years of experience to the role, having served as a geotechnical engineer with multiple consulting firms , the Swedish Geotechnical Institute, and an international design-build specialty ground improvement contractor, where she most recently served as Director of Business Development for both domestic and international ground improvement markets.

“Dr. Smith’s experience with geotechnical engineering, design-build ground improvement, research and development, and market development will help us tremendously as Menard continues to expand in North America.” says Menard Group CEO, North America, Seth L. Pearlman, P.E., D.GE.

Smith received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and her Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees, with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering, from Virginia Tech.  Smith is a registered Professional Engineer in California.
