Everett Joins WSP USA as Texas Transportation Lead

Brings two decades of transportation engineering experience in the state to his new role with firm’s Technical Excellence Center.

AUSTIN  — Brian Everett has been named regional civil transportation Technical Excellence Center lead for Texas at WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy.

In his new role, Everett will lead the civil team responsible for project management, design, coordination and delivery of transportation projects for public and private clients across Texas. In addition, he will focus on staff development, resourcing, efficient project delivery, quality and growing the civil transportation practice. As WSP continues to grow its transportation practice, Everett will be a key asset in building the team that will help deliver on some of the most significant projects in the region.

Everett has delivered transportation projects for the Texas Department of Transportation, regional mobility authorities, cities, and counties across Texas throughout this career. His experience includes leading planning and design projects for interstate highway and tolling projects throughout Texas. Over his 20 years in the engineering field, he has developed an expertise in delivering large, complex, multi-disciplined highway projects on expedited schedules. Prior to joining WSP, Everett served as vice president and managing principal of the Central Texas Region for a national architectural and engineering design firm.

Everett holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is a registered professional engineer in Texas. Additionally, he currently serves as the state director for the Travis chapter of Texas Society of Professional Engineers.

The Texas offices are home to some of WSP’s largest transportation projects, including the Texas Central high-speed passenger train, Austin U.S. 183 Bergstrom Expressway, Dallas Horseshoe interchange, Dallas-Fort Worth Connector, San Antonio LP 1604, Dallas Southern Gateway, general engineering consultant for the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Silver Line program manager, and general planning consultant for Houston Metro.
