Freese and Nichols to relocate headquarters to downtown Fort Worth

Fort Worth, Texas — Freese and Nichols, Inc., announced that it will move its headquarters to Burnett Plaza in downtown Fort Worth in 2020. The professional consulting firm has been based in Fort Worth since it was founded by Major John B. Hawley in 1894.

“Downtown Fort Worth is a thriving place whose culture matches our own,” said Brian Coltharp, President and CEO. “Working downtown — within walking distance or a few train stops away from some of our largest clients — will enable us to continue our dedication to outstanding client service.”

About 300 employees will work from the new headquarters, which will occupy at least three full floors at Burnett Plaza. The 40-story office tower is certified LEED Silver by the U.S. Green Building Council, has earned the Energy Star rating and overlooks a two-acre urban park.  Burnett Plaza is owned and managed by Dallas-based TIER REIT, a New York Stock Exchange company, and represented by Jack Clark of Red Oak Realty.

Freese and Nichols serves local, state and federal entities in the water, transportation, aviation, buildings and oil and gas industries. A sampling of the firm’s North Texas projects includes the Clearfork Main Street Bridge for the City of Fort Worth; the 150-mile Integrated Pipeline Project, jointly owned by the Tarrant Regional Water District and the City of Dallas; the Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport; and the Center of Excellence for Energy Technology at Tarrant County College.

Freese and Nichols expects the move to take place in early 2020. Its current headquarters is at International Plaza in southwest Fort Worth.
