Ware Malcomb named among 2016 Best Places to Work in Orange County

Irvine, Calif. — Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, was named as one of the 2016 Best Places to Work in Orange County. The awards program, which was created in 2009, is a project of the Orange County Business Journal and Best Companies Group. The county-wide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Orange County, benefiting the county’s economy, workforce and businesses.

“Ware Malcomb is proud to be recognized as one of the best places to work in Orange County,” said Lawrence R. Armstrong, Chief Executive Officer of Ware Malcomb. “Our firm has cultivated a unique corporate culture based on creativity, innovation and teamwork. It is this environment that allows us to consistently contribute to the growth and success of both our employees and our clients.”

Ware Malcomb offers several programs to support the personal and professional development of its employees, from robust mentoring and wellness initiatives to celebrating employees with wedding and baby showers.

Ware Malcomb’s firm-wide mentoring program provides employees with the opportunity to develop a relationship with a more senior member of the team to help expand that employee’s knowledge and skills. The firm also has a program designed to help each team member discover their top five talents, enabling employees to better leverage their individual strengths to work better as a team.

Ware Malcomb’s popular firm-wide wellness program, called WM Active, promotes health, fitness, community and philanthropic activities among employees. Ware Malcomb employees regularly come together as a team to support annual charitable events including the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation Reach for the Cure and the Komen OC Race for the Cure. Last year, Ware Malcomb employees made Komen’s annual "Top 25 Race Team" list with 88 members who raised over $10,000 for the cause.

Organizations from across the county entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Orange County. The ranking of the winning organizations is being released via a special section of the Orange County Business Journal’s July 25, 2016 issue.
