The BSA Foundation 2016 grants cycle is now open

Boston — The BSA Foundation 2016 grants cycle is now open. Foundation grants support projects and programs that increase public awareness of the importance of good design in Massachusetts communities. in which Massachusetts residents and visitors live, work, play, and learn.

The Foundation seeks to fund projects in the areas of architecture, landscape, engineering, community development, and the built environment. Programs that are of special interest include those for elementary and high school students, activities that can be replicated and maximize the number of people served, and initiatives that target diverse and underserved audiences.

Through 2015, the Foundation has distributed more than $1 million in grants to public and private sector groups. Previously funded programs include classroom curriculum, community, and training programs that incorporate innovative hands-on design projects.

All grant applications must be submitted by Friday, September 2 at 5:00 pm EST. Applicants will be notified of the results of this year’s grant review via postal mail in early November 2016.
