Contech Engineered Solutions acquires Filterra Bioretention Systems

West Chester, Ohio — Contech Engineered Solutions acquired the assets of Filterra Bioretention Systems from Americast, Inc. The purchase includes the Filterra product line and all related intellectual property.

The Filterra system is a stormwater treatment technology that utilizes enhanced bioretention for the removal of pollutants from stormwater. This technology is often used in urban environments and in areas that have embraced Low Impact Development (LID) and Green Infrastructure. The system removes Total Suspended Solids (TSS), nutrients, hydrocarbons, and metals while improving aesthetics. Filterra has been third-party field tested and has earned numerous state and local regulatory approvals throughout the U.S.

The Filterra product line joins Contech's other stormwater management solutions including StormFilter, Jellyfish Filter, CDS, Vortechs, UrbanGreen Rainwater Harvesting, as well as a variety of detention and infiltration solutions.
