NRMCA seeks abstracts for 2009 concrete technology forum

Silver Spring, Md.—The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) is currently accepting abstracts for the 2009 Concrete Technology Forum: Focus on Performance Prediction, due by Friday, November 28. The Forum will bring researchers and practitioners together to discuss the latest advances, technical knowledge, continuing research, tools and specifications that involve test methods and modeling to predict concrete performance and service life. This two-day symposium and product expo is scheduled for May 14-15 in Cincinnati.

Researchers, engineers, contractors, concrete producers, public works officials, material suppliers and concrete professionals are invited to submit abstracts and attend this symposium. Abstracts can be submitted on line at www.concretetechnologyforum.org.

Abstracts are encouraged on hardened concrete properties, concrete applications, plastic concrete properties, and performance prediction.

NRMCA, based in Silver Spring, Md., represents the producers of ready mixed concrete and the companies that provide materials, equipment and support to the industry. It conducts education, training, promotion, research, engineering, safety, environmental, technological, lobbying and regulatory programs.
