A record-number 63 individuals earned the distinction of NPCA Master Precaster on Thursday, Feb. 23, during a ceremony at the Hilton Columbus Downtown in Columbus, Ohio.
To earn the title Master Precaster, an individual must complete an intensive two-year program covering the precast concrete industry, safety, production, technical knowledge, quality assurance and leadership. Graduates are honored during the NPCA Keynote Luncheon, held as a kickoff to The Precast Show, the largest precast concrete-specific trade show in North America.
“By earning the Master Precaster designation, these graduates have exhibited an in-depth knowledge of precast processes, technology and management,” NPCA President and CEO FRED GRUBBE said. “Graduating from this program requires specific training and dedication that shows these talented pros are committed to being among the best within the precast concrete industry.”
The program was developed in conjunction with precast industry experts, producers, departments of transportation and academia, and is part of NPCA’s Precast University.
