Bio: Lauren Underwood is a dynamic engineering leader whose contributions span project management, business development, and organizational leadership. Recently promoted from Principal to Northeast Division Manager at Apex Companies, she leads operational initiatives across her division while managing a high volume of water infrastructure projects. Lauren’s commitment to mentorship, client service, and professional excellence has earned her major industry awards and leadership roles at a young age. She is also deeply committed to growing the next generation of engineers through mentorship and industry involvement. 

Notable Projects & Accomplishments: Managed MWRA Water Supply Evaluation for six municipal water systems in MA; Led design and construction of a new elevated water storage tank in Sharon, MA; Directed Risk and Resiliency Assessments for 27 Massachusetts communities; Managed expansive water main replacement and water infrastructure upgrades on Cuttyhunk Island, MA; Young Professional of the Year, ACEC/MA (2024)
