2019 Rising Star: Vartan Chilingaryan

Associate Vice President, Director of Structural Engineering, HDR

Chilingaryan has accomplished a great deal in a short amount of time. He started with HDR 15 years ago in the Los Angeles office as a structural intern. HDR is a global Architecture and Engineering practice with offices located around the world. He joined the firm when he was only a junior in college and balanced school and work in a very pressurized schedule. By the time he graduated college, he was already independently leading small structural projects. During his professional career, he has successfully led highly technical projects through design, engaged in project management, and taken on different leadership roles within the firm.
