Charleston, S.C. –– RMF Engineering, a leader in full-service MEP engineering, today announced two new Electrical Project Managers, Betsy Turner, PE, and Justin Ziegler, PE, have joined its office in Charleston, South Carolina.

As our team in the Charleston office evolves, their addition underscores our foundational goal to pioneer engineering solutions that facilitate the merging of creativity and technical excellence,” says Beth Crutchfield, PE, LEED AP, Principal and Division Manager at RMF’s Charleston office.

Turner, PE, has nearly 20 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, much of which was spent with nationally-recognized MEP firms in Los Angeles and Seattle. She relocated to Charleston in 2022 and has since contributed to a number of prominent projects in the southeast, including the MUSC Health Jean and Hugh K. Leatherman Behavioral Care Pavilion and the Pearl Innovation District’s Center for Education Building. Turner’s portfolio spans verticals including higher education, healthcare, museums, aviation, convention centers and commercial projects. She holds both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University.

Bringing over 25 years of experience to RMF, Ziegler, PE, has spent the last ten entrenched in the Charleston market. In his prior roles as project manager and power and lighting systems designer, Ziegler contributed to over 200 projects in both the public and private sectors. Prioritizing design work that incorporates sustainability, energy efficiency, and the integration of building information modeling, he has practiced in industries such as aviation, corporate, higher education, government, and science and technology.  

In their new roles, Turner and Ziegler will oversee the design and construction of complex MEP building engineering projects. Applying their extensive knowledge and field experience, they will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across each of those projects to deliver high quality solutions that uniquely suit their clients’ needs.
