Louis Berger sweeps ACEC Metro Washington Engineering Excellence Grand Awards

Morristown, N.J. Louis Berger took top honors in both the design and non-design categories from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Metropolitan Washington (ACEC/MW) at its annual Engineering Excellence Awards dinner. The industry organization honored the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool reconstruction as the top design project and the Washington Monument earthquake repair project, which Louis Berger managed jointly with Hill International, as the top non-design project.

2013 U.S. Water Prize winners announced

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Along the Reflecting Pool between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial, the U.S. Water Alliance announced the 2013 winners of the coveted U.S. Water Prize: Onondaga County, N.Y., for its program to “Save the Rain” and embrace green infrastructure solutions to wet weather problems; The Freshwater Trust for its collaborative market-based solutions to restore and protect rivers and streams; and, MillerCoors for its strategies to protect and conserve water throughout its life cycle.

MARLTON, N.J. and WASHINGTON, D.C. – Hill International (NYSE:HIL), the global leader in managing construction risk, announced today that its joint venture with The Louis Berger Group, Inc. has received a contract from the National Park Service (NPS) to provide construction management services in connection with the repair of earthquake damage to the Washington Monument.
