The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Office of Public-Private Partnerships (P3) is accepting unsolicited proposals for transportation projects from the private sector through October 31. During this period, the private sector can submit proposals offering innovative ways to deliver transportation projects across a variety of modes, including roads, bridges, rail, aviation, and ports.
Secretary of Transportation Leslie S. Richards warned oversight chairs in the House and Senate that a recently unveiled House Republican plan to cut transportation funding from dedicated sources is based on misleading information and would lead to transit services cuts in small and large systems, and delay or deny assistance to important transportation infrastructure.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) plans to invest more than $2 billion in roadway maintenance and highway and bridge capital projects over the next 10 years through its new Road Maintenance and Preservation (Road MaP) program.
