U.S. DOT releases $225 million for Boston Green Line Extension
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) released a $225 million federal grant agreement for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Green Line Extension (GLX) light rail project. It is the second installment of funding for the GLX after FTA signed a $996 million Full Funding Grant Agreement with MBTA for the 4.7-mile light rail line from Cambridge to Medford.
