The City of Boise, Idaho, and Brown and Caldwell received a Grand Award in the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) 51st Engineering Excellence Awards competition for the Dixie Drain Phosphorus Removal Facility.
Brown and Caldwell, an environmental engineering and construction firm, announced that as part of its planned succession of leadership, Craig Goehring has transitioned from CEO to Executive Chairman, and Rich D’Amato, President and COO, has been promoted to CEO.
Archer Western Construction, LLC and joint venture partner Brown and Caldwell were awarded the Progressive Design-Build project at Fulton County’s Big Creek Water Reclamation Facility in Roswell, Ga. The Progressive Design-Build project will upgrade and expand the facility from 24 to 38 million gallons per day.
Brown and Caldwell added the resources of J4 Engineering Group, an industrial water services firm based in Boise, Idaho, with proven success in all aspects of project development from planning through permitting, preliminary design, detailed design, construction services, commissioning, and startup.
The National Center for Employee Ownership, a private non-profit organization, released the Employee Ownership 100, the largest 100 companies (by employment) owned by employee stock ownership plan (ESOPs) or other arrangements in which at least 50 percent of the stock is owned by 50 percent or more of the workforce. Eight of the companies on the list are in the engineering industry, collectively employing about 65,000 people.
