GEI Consultants acquires H2A Environmental, Ltd.

Boston GEI Consultants, Inc. acquired H2A Environmental, Ltd., an environmental consulting and remediation firm specializing in non-aqueous phase liquid (NAPL) management, and risk-based remediation and site closure. H2A became a subsidiary of GEI when the transaction officially closed on Nov. 1, 2014, and will continue to service clients and conduct business out of their Keller, Texas, office.

Alta Environmental to conduct stormwater monitoring program at Los Angeles World Airports

Los Angeles The Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) awarded a contract to Alta Environmental for environmental technical and expert consulting services for up to $5 million for three years on an as-needed basis. Under this contract, Alta will install new stormwater monitoring equipment and conduct stormwater monitoring, analysis, and reporting for Los Angeles International Airport, Ontario International Airport, and Van Nuys Airport.

As part of its ISI membership, the company has also committed to enrolling 100 employees in the ISI Envision Sustainability Professionals (ENV SPs) credentialing program. When credentialed, these employees will be able to document and rate sustainability aspects of infrastructure projects in collaboration with ISIs Envision infrastructure rating system.
