Now, ASTM International Committee C27 on Precast Concrete Products is working on such a standard. ASTM WK38192, Specification for Wet-Cast Precast Modular Block Retaining Wall Units, is being developed by Subcommittee C27.20 on Architectural and Structural Products.

BARTOW, Fla. – Oldcastle Precast announced today that it has completed work on the "first-of-its-kind" U.S Coast Guard air station hangar project which included a 20,000 square foot CAT 5 Aircraft Hangar, HAZMAT Storage Building, and Residential Building Structure for the U.S. Security Forces. The new CAT 5 aircraft hangar was constructed from the ground up using Oldcastle Precast’s new "Titan Wall" system. The entire aircraft hangar structure including the patent pending, motorized hangar doors, was fabricated using engineered precast concrete. The new facility allows the USCG to base helicopters and aircraft flying in support of OPBAT on Great Inagua, Bahamas replacing a previous steel hangar destroyed by Hurricane Ike in September of 2008.

CHICAGO—North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C., conducted a series of full-scale torsion tests intended to improve the design procedure for L-spandrel beams. In total, 12 full-size spandrel beams were tested by the end of January.
The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) has completed tests of a large-scale, three-story precast concrete parking structure and has begun using the results to create standards that can be incorporated into building-code requirements. The tests, completed in August at the Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES)/Englekirk Structural Engineering Center in San Diego, Calif., are part of the final year’s work on a 5-year, $2-million-plus research program to improve industry standards for the design and construction of diaphragms used with precast, prestressed concrete components.
