Weyerhaeuser returns to its roots for wood products business name

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Weyerhaeuser Company — a leading manufacturer and distributor of building products, software and services — is transitioning the name of its wood products business to the Weyerhaeuser brand. The "iLevel by Weyerhaeuser" business will simply be known as "Weyerhaeuser." Under the Weyerhaeuser banner, the company also will enhance promotion of its Trus Joist® brand of engineered lumber products — one of the most trusted brands in the building industry. Weyerhaeuser is making the name change to simplify customer contacts and leverage the widespread recognition of the Weyerhaeuser identity.

The name transition is designed to be seamless for customers. They will still have access to their same sales representatives, along with Weyerhaeuser’s full range of quality building materials, including Trus Joist® TJI® joists, TimberStrand® LSL, Parallam® PSL, and Microllam® LVL; Weyerhaeuser lumber, plywood, and oriented strand board (OSB); tools such as Javelin® design software, Stellar® fabrication software, and Forte® single-member sizing software; and third-party manufactured products including siding and trim, insulation and housewrap, steel concrete reinforcing materials, and other product lines.

"Our customers and vendors know us best as ‘Weyerhaeuser,’ so we are returning to what is most familiar to them," said Larry Burrows, Weyerhaeuser Senior Vice President of Wood Products. "The Weyerhaeuser brand represents more than 100 years of strength, stability, and top-quality products and services. As we’ve done for decades, we’ll continue to innovate and provide builders and dealers with cost effective solutions for the residential, multi-family and light commercial construction markets."
