Under this Hydrologic Engineering Services contract applicable to the entire Northwest Division of the Corps of Engineers, the WEST team will assist with hydrologic and hydraulic engineering and planning analysis, modeling, training, studies, and development of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering and planning software tools.

For each task order, WEST personnel may be required to travel to the field site for project coordination, data collection, site inspection, and results presentation.

Among the services WEST experts will provide are:

• River modeling/floodplain analysis of existing baseline conditions and design alternatives with applicable models for one-dimensional and two-dimensional evaluations with steady/unsteady flow and sediment transport.

• Floodplain analysis, including floodway computations, floodplain delineation of water surface profiles and CLOMR/LOMR development and processing according to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) criteria in support of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

• Hydraulic computations for planning and design of flood control and channel restoration projects to include channel improvements, detention ponds, levees, floodwalls, nonstructural measures or combination of the same, conceptual construction quantity estimates of earthwork and concrete/steel for comparison purposes and budgeting and programming requirements.
