Ware Malcomb expands San Francisco presence

San Francisco — Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, announced the firm’s San Francisco office has relocated to a new larger location at 360 Pine Street, 2nd Floor, in San Francisco. The move reflects the firm’s growing client and employee base in the city and surrounding Bay Area.

Ware Malcomb’s San Francisco office will continue to be led by Rhea Butler, Director, Interior Architecture & Design. She is responsible for the growth and management of the office, and business development efforts in the region. With nearly 30 years of experience in all phases of corporate interior design, Butler also oversees select projects for the San Francisco office.

Ware Malcomb’s interior design group was recently recognized as one of the nation’s top 40 interior design firms in Interior Design magazine’s 2017 Top 100 Giants. Ware Malcomb was also honored recently with the “Give Award” from the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) at the 2017 IIDA Northern California Chapter Honor Awards ceremony for the LePort Montessori School project in downtown San Francisco.

“Since joining Ware Malcomb in 2014, Rhea has combined her skills in both business development and design to greatly expand the size and scope of Ware Malcomb’s San Francisco office,” said Gary Drew, Regional Vice President of Ware Malcomb who oversees the firm’s San Francisco, Pleasanton and Seattle offices. “This move to a larger office space will accommodate the continued growth and success of our employees and clients alike.”

Ware Malcomb has served as Landlord Architect on over a dozen buildings in the San Francisco Bay Area including projects in San Francisco, Alameda, Oakland, Richmond, Novato and San Rafael, totaling over 2.2 million square feet.

Past projects range from serving as Landlord Architect and providing architecture and interior design services for a 241,000-square-foot high-rise office building located at 33 New Montgomery in San Francisco, to providing award-winning architectural and interior design services for the 22,260 square foot LePort Montessori School located at 50 Fell Street in downtown San Francisco.

Ware Malcomb opened its San Francisco office in 2012, and the firm’s Pleasanton office is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2017.
