University of RBF becomes authorized provider of IACET CEUs

IRVINE, CALIF. – The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) awarded RBF Consulting’s Corporate University accreditation, giving the firm the ability to award Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for the many courses offered to the internal engineering, planning, and surveying team members and to clients across the United States. IACET Authorized Providers are the only organizations approved to offer IACET CEUs. The recognition period extends for five years and includes all programs offered or created during that time.

"The University of RBF is proud of our education programs, which train more than 1,000 engineering, planning, and surveying professionals each year in important technical, leadership, and computer skills," said Bob Crawford, executive vice president in charge of education. "This allows our team and our clients to stay on the leading edge of our fields."

According to Fred Baker, Ph.D., president of IACET and administrator for continuing professional education at Columbus State Community College in Ohio, "RBF joins nearly 650 organizations around the globe that have had their programs vetted by third-party experts in continuing education to ensure the highest possible standards are met."

RBF Consulting’s Professional Development Program, which includes the University of RBF, also recently earned the American Council of Engineering Companies, California Chapter’s Professional Development Award for the fourth consecutive year. This award recognizes excellence in in-house training programs and support for higher education among engineering firms.

To achieve Authorized Provider status, the University of RBF completed a rigorous application process, including a review by IACET site visitors, and successfully demonstrated adherence to the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard addressing the design, development, administration, and evaluation of its programs.
