Transportation Funding Increases in House Budget Resolution

Last month, the U.S. House of Representatives passed its 2007 fiscal year budget resolution, which fully funds highways at $39.8 billion. The highway funding level increased in this budget while most other domestic programs’ funding did not change. The resolution now moves to a House-Senate committee to reconcile differences between the House proposal and the Senate spending plan.
