Thornton Tomasetti receives project accolades

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Thornton Tomasetti won two awards at the Structural Engineers Association of Metropolitan Washington’s (SEA-MW) Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards Gala on Feb. 26 at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Thornton Tomasetti received the awards for its work on The University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce’s Rouss and Robertson Halls, in Charlottesville, Va., and on The Avenue at 2200 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C.

The annual awards program recognizes projects that demonstrate innovation, creativity and constructability. Thornton Tomasetti was presented with awards in two of seven categories: new construction between $10 million and $50 million, and new construction over $50 million.

“Thornton Tomasetti is honored to receive these Excellence in Structural Engineering Outstanding Project Awards from the Structural Engineers Association of Metropolitan Washington,” said R.
