RS&H acquires TSH

Jacksonville, Fla. — RS&H, an employee-owned architecture, engineering and consulting firm based in Jacksonville, Fla., with a national footprint of offices throughout the U.S., has acquired Tsiouvaras Simmons and Holderness, Inc. (TSH), with locations in Denver, Colorado Springs, and Loveland, Colo.

Since 2005, RS&H has served Colorado and Western U.S. clients from its Denver office in the sectors of Aerospace, Defense, and Aviation as well as completed facilities design for corporate clients. The acquisition of TSH expands current RS&H service offerings in the Colorado market to the Transportation sector, in the areas of transportation planning; highway, bridge, traffic and hydraulic design; as well as construction management and inspection.

TSH’s clients will continue to work with TSH staff, further complemented by RS&H’s multidisciplinary expertise from across the nationwide RS&H footprint.

“TSH’s staff is well-respected in the Colorado market for high-quality work and a commitment to their clients and employees,” said RS&H CEO David T. Sweeney. “We look forward to working with our new partners to continue to serve TSH’s existing Colorado clients as well as extend the full spectrum of our joint capabilities to existing and new clients in the West.”

Founded in 2005 in Denver, TSH has earned a strong reputation for the innovative planning and design of complex infrastructure projects as well as construction project management, administration, and field observation. Clients include state and local governments, as well as heavy civil construction contractors engaged in design-build projects.

RS&H is currently performing construction assessments and independent assurance testing services as owner representative for the $2.2 billion Central 70 Public Private Partnership (P3) in Denver.  TSH is currently designing the I-25 Express Lanes project from Johnstown to Fort Collins in concert with the Kraemer-IHC joint venture, in addition to several other state and local transportation projects.

“Tsiouvaras Simmons Holderness is pleased to combine our firm with the RS&H family,” said TSH President George N. Tsiouvaras, PE. “From the beginning of our discussions, we were attracted by the natural synergies between the two firms, including a shared dedication to our employees and providing the highest quality engineering and construction services to our clients.

“We look forward to the integration of our firms and to continuing the pursuit of excellence that will best serve the transportation industry and provide great opportunities for our employee family.”
