Lessons learned from accelerated-construction projects

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) published a new report, Accelerated Construction Technology Transfer: Building on Success (Publication No. FHWA-IF-07-015). The report, compiled by FHWA’s Office of Asset Management, highlights lessons learned from state transportation projects that were analyzed using an Accelerated Construction Technology Transfer (ACTT) process.

The report provides recommendations from ACTT workshops that, according to FHWA, can be applied to projects nationwide. Recommendations are featured for construction, structures, roadway/geometric design, the environment, and innovative contracting/financing.
