Historical construction equipment on display

BOWLING GREEN, OHIO — The Historical Construction Equipment Association (HCEA), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of the construction industry, is hosting its 27th Annual International Convention and Old Equipment Exposition September 14-16, 2012, at the National Construction Equipment Museum in Bowling Green, Ohio.

The show features demonstrations and displays of horse-drawn, steam, gas and diesel-powered antique construction machinery, cable and hydraulic shovels and cranes, hit and miss engines, antique trucks and tractors, and more. This year’s show will include the annual convention of the Antique Caterpillar Machinery Owners Club, and will feature numerous restored Caterpillar machines.

The show is open to the general public. Anyone involved with the construction, mining and dredging equipment is especially encouraged to attend, so they can observe the ancestors of today’s machinery in action.

Show hours are Friday, 9:00 a.m. to dusk; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission per person 12 or older is $10.00 daily or $25.00 for a weekend pass.
