HARRISBURG, PA. — Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm, announced that effective Jan. 1, 2011, Nabar Stanley Brown, Inc. became the NSB Group of Gannett Fleming.

The NSB Group is part of Gannett Fleming’s Structural Practice, which specializes in preliminary and final design of new structures, repair or expansion of existing structures, and condition assessments. With this addition, Gannett Fleming has broadened its structural engineering services and capabilities, as well as expanded the firm’s growing footprint in the West.

Gannett Fleming has partnered with Nabar Stanley Brown Inc. for more than seven years through the design and construction of the PHX Sky Train project at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. During this time, it became apparent that both companies shared the same core values and culture.

Members of the newly formed NSB Group will join the Gannett Fleming Phoenix, Ariz., office. Former Nabar Stanley Brown Inc. partners have been named the following within Gannett Fleming:

Robert M. Stanley, S.E., P.E., vice president and manager — NSB Group
Sateesh J. Nabar, Ph.D., P.E., principal — NSB Group
Barry Brown, principal — NSB Group.

Also, through the acquisition, client service will remain a top priority, with no immediate changes in project management or technical staff on existing projects.

The NSB Group has primarily focused on facilities work for clients in the water and aviation industries, including the Lake Pleasant Water Treatment Plant in Phoenix and the Consolidated Rental Car Facility at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

The new employees also strengthen Gannett Fleming’s construction management experience in the West region, as well as expertise in building information modeling and structural design capabilities for energy, transit and rail, and aviation clients.
